Robotics Lego League
Thursday 17 January 2019
On Tuesday 15 January four Senior School students from St Chris took part in the FIRST LEGO League competition in Cambridge.
FIRST LEGO League is a global science and technology challenge for teams of students, to encourage an interest in real world issues and develop key skills that are crucial for their future careers. The students work together to explore a given topic and to design, build and program an autonomous LEGO robot to solve a series of missions.
The theme for this year's challenge is 'Into Orbit'. The students were asked to design, build and program a robot to complete a set of tasks involving launching astronauts into space. In addition, the students researched and presented a project involving effects of extended space travel on the human body.
Pupils Daniel, Ben, Luca and George, supported by teacher Jennifer Petit, did a great job at the competition and worked really hard on their project.
