Trips & Visits

A wide range of departments at St Chris offer educational visits during term time to a variety of destinations, both as day trips and as residential experiences.

Recent departmental visits have included a Battlefields trip to Belgium; French and Spanish exchanges; geography field trip to Norfolk; art and design trip to the Knit and Stitch Show; inter-school robotics competition; UCAS Create Your Future Conference; and theatre visits to performances of War Horse and An Inspector Calls.

Weekend Trips

At weekends there are opportunities to undertake a range of outdoor pursuits. Over the year students can enjoy mountain biking, climbing and scuba diving in the local area.

There are also a range of weekend residential trips during which students can go horse riding, surfing, canoeing or mountaineering. Information about educational visits is available on our parent portal.

Key Stage Three Days

Each term, Years 7, 8 and 9 take part in year group activities known as Key Stage Three Curriculum Days, organised by the main academic departments.

These days include visits to museums, galleries, places of historical interest and sites suitable for field studies as well as workshops on site. Recent destinations include the National Space Centre; the Globe; Big Bang Science Exhibition; Kew Gardens; visits to national galleries and music and movement workshops.

In September, Year 7 spend one night at Lee Valley on their year-group bonding trip.
