Admissions

A Warm Welcome to St Chris from the Admissions Department

We aim to make the process of applying for a place at St Chris as smooth as possible and our admissions team is here to answer any questions that you may have.

We are proud of the feedback that we often receive from prospective families, highlighting our personalised supportive approach. We are always happy to talk through the admissions process as your family begins this journey with us.

St Chris is an independent day and boarding school that welcomes girls and boys from the ages of 3 to 18.

Our Junior School includes a nursery, and children can start from the term that they turn three years old. The Junior School runs up to Year 6 (age 10+). Following Junior School, children move across to the Senior School and Sixth Form, which are on the same campus.

The main points of entry into the Junior School are in the Nursery and Reception (age 4+). In Year 4 (age 8+) we expand the year to a two class intake, and have space for additional children in Years 4 to 6.

In the Senior School the main points of entry are Year 7 (age 11+), Year 9 (age 13+) and Year 12 (age 16+) for Sixth Form.

Entry into other year groups is sometimes possible subject to the availability of a place.

Pupils can board on a weekly basis from age 10 (Year 6) and on a weekly and full boarding basis from the age of 11 (Year 7).

We’d like to show you why St Chris is truly different. As a first step, we encourage you to attend one of our Open Mornings, held twice a year, or to come for a private family visit at any point during the academic year. A private visit usually includes a meeting with the Head or Deputy Head so that you have the opportunity to discuss your child’s educational needs in more detail.

We are happy for you to visit us as many times as you wish, either with or without your child.

Please do contact the Admissions Department with any questions or queries at any point in the admissions journey.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to St Chris in the near future.
