On Saturday 19 January pupils from St Chris took part in team Robot Rumble competition.
The competition was held at the University of Hertfordshire and was sponsored by MBDA. The theme this year was ‘Turning Point.’
The students were tasked with designing, building and programming a robot to compete actively against three other robots on a playing field to throw balls at targets, flip flags, and climb a platform.
In addition, the students were required to keep a log book detailing their progress through the competition and then face a panel of judges to describe the journey from start to finish.
Science teacher, Jennifer Petit, who runs the St Chris Robotics Club said: “The students did exceptionally well and I am beyond proud of their hard work and dedication.”
