Recently, a couple of students in our Senior School have been excelling in extra-curricular sports outside of school.

Matthew in V Group (Year 11) began open water swimming only in June this year and swam 2km at Grafham Water in August in only 33 minutes coming in 3rd place overall, 2nd place for the male league, and  1st in the under 18 category. Following this, Matthew then attended the Rutland race, which has a much larger attendance, swimming 2km in 39 mins coming 7th overall out of 250 swimmers nationwide.

Also, a huge shoutout goes to Archie in II Group (Year 8) who was graded recently to his 1st Kyu (pronounced queue) in karate. His next grade to achieve is the black belt which he is on track to get in summer 2024. He is one of only a few young people his age in the worldwide club to attain this grade which is a massive achievement.

Well done Matthew and Archie!
