Our Senior School football team brilliantly finished last week with a howling 8-0 win against Sherrardswood on Friday afternoon. It was a great performance from the whole team with a hat trick from Buster (3 goals), two goals from Archie O, two goals from Archie M and a goal from Ted.

Also on Friday evening, the I and II Group (Years 7 and 8) swim team represented St Chris at the ESSA (English Schools Swimming Association) Girls 4 x 50m Relays Gala. As one of 33 schools to take part, whilst they didn’t win a medal, they swam well, showed great team spirit and each made individual progress with their stroke technique and/or gala tactics. Well done to Bella, Kitty, Teah and Ruby!

This week, the St Chris IV and V Group (Years 10 and 11) basketball team played against a very strong Nobel team on Tuesday evening. The game went to overtime and St Chris managed to win 25-23 to continue the unbeaten streak in all our basketball fixtures this year. Well done to all involved.
St Chris I and II Group (Years 7 and 8) played in the district rugby tournament on Wednesday, after our 5-2 (tries) win vs Knights Templar in the pool stage we were placed in division one and we finished third out of seven teams. The boys put in some huge performances with player of the tournament going to Gabriel who scored six tries.
On Thursday we had two big league games. Our III Group (Year 9) football team played in a hugely competitive game against King James Academy. The boys showed great resilience coming back from two goals down to draw 2-2. A massive well done for all their hard work and we look forward to our next game on Monday! In our second match, the IV Group (Year 10) football team played against a very strong Thomas Alleynes side narrowly losing out.
Well done to everyone for their hard work in fixtures this week.
