It’s not been your typical Friday here at St Chris as Penny the tortoise, Katie Wright’s family pet, paid a visit to the Roald Dahl club. Penny is helping pupils learn about Roald Dahl’s book, Esio Trot, and today she enjoyed a bath using some warm water and a toothbrush.
Surprisingly, Penny loves to cuddle and have a bath. She is incredibly friendly and likes to be stroked. She has had a marvellous day touring the Junior School, taking up her post in the office with Jo Pitts and roaming in the run outside on the Junior School lawn.
We’re not sure how great Penny’s academic achievements will be, but we are sure she will be very loved and very clean once the pupils have completed their studies of Roald Dahl!
