Bumper Sports Week!

The sun was shining for our Junior School Sports Day and Picnic on Monday morning.  The pupils earned points in nine different activity stations before coming together to cheer each other on in the sprint races, novelty races and relays.  The morning ended with our traditional Year 6 tug of war, followed by a (very contested) parents’ tug of war!  This year’s Sports Day winners for the Junior School were Godwin!

There was a whole day of events and each year group earned lots of Inter House points in the morning.  This was followed by the traditional track events in the afternoon.  This year’s overall Sports Day winners for the Senior School were Gernon!

St Chris held our inaugural Sports Award evening at The Broadway Hotel on Wednesday night. We welcomed Jack Wilshere (ex-international footballer, and now Arsenal Academy Manager) to help present sports caps and Sports Personalities of the Year for both Junior and Senior pupils. Lots of smiles all round with some pupils earning up to a staggering 20 caps this year! Special mentions go to Ollie (Year 6) who won the Junior School Sports Personality of the Year; and John (Year 8) who won the Senior School Sports Personality of the Year.  Huge congratulations to all the pupils in attendance for their effort and participation this year.
