Last Wednesday our Year 7 went on a Science trip to Whipsnade Zoo and had a wonderful time meeting the varied, colourful and interesting birds and animals in such a lovely setting. Highlights were a bird display featuring birds of prey and colourful parrots, talks on giraffes, elephants and Asian otters – and some students also witnessed an extravagant ostrich display as a male tried to attract a disinterested female ostrich! A train ride and ice-creams helped to keep us cool in the heat.
