This week F Group (Year 4) created a model of the process of digestion to help them understand what happens in our bodies when we digest food.
They used many items such as a bowl, one leg of a pair of tights, a potato masher, orange juice, food colouring and bread.
They had to call each of the items the right part/name so they could show that they knew what it was representing e.g. bowl = mouth, tights = intestine, green food colouring = bile, tray = body.
The children worked hard to explain what was happening using scientific vocabulary.
