This week marks the second week of Fairtrade Fortnight. The Junior School had a morning talk about how Fairtrade benefits farmers in less developed countries by guaranteeing them a fair price for their crops.  The children were delighted to spot the Fairtrade logo on the bananas in the St Chris dining room, which inspired them to write to Alison, our House Services Manager, to find out what other Fairtrade products we use.  Alison sent back packets of tea and coffee to show the children how the Rainforest Alliance is also a trade organisation promoting fair prices – St Chris gets a thumbs up from Fairtrade Fortnight!
