Last week saw the Grand Final of the annual St Chris ‘Bake Off’.  Our previous winning teams had to bake biscuits on the theme of ‘Spring’.
  • Year 7 : Jessie, Jeanne, Liv and Sebastian baked three different types of biscuit: lemon, strawberry and matcha.  They also made lemon curd and jam to sandwich the biscuits together.  The biscuits were cut into flowers and leaves with even some bee’s buzzing around!  The finished presentation was beautiful.
  • Year 8: Rebecca, Cara, Amelia and Ollie baked some scrumptious lemon shortbread and decorated the biscuits with buttercream grass.  They made very cute spring bunnies, carrots and flowers to symbolise Spring.
  • Year 10: Cece, Sorcha and May baked choc chip cookies in the shape of bunnies with pretty glazes.  They were made with self-raising flour so were softer in texture than biscuits and were delicious!
  • Sixth Form: Neve, Thillana, Maisie and Ben worked hard to produce some classic vanilla shortbread, which was decorated with pastel coloured icing and natural decorations.
The Food Team and guest judges Masa and Zack had the great job of sampling all the cookies.  Standards were very high so it was a trickly job deciding who should be crowned the 2023 Champions but, ultimately, Year 7 won!  Well done Jessie and team!  Year 10 were given highly commended for their natural and original decoration ideas.
