Our Year 12 Business and Economics students attended a talk by Duncan Goose founder of One Water yesterday.  One Water funds “clean water projects in areas that need it most and have raised over £20 million, changing the lives of over 4 million people.”

Duncan shared his experiences of setting up One Water, telling them how his mantra “do not be afraid to ask” enabled him to use product placement to launch One Water at Live Aid.  He also talked about the difficult decisions he had to make back in 2008 when he had to reduce his work force and how recent supply issues meant he was unable to benefit from a huge contract with a hotel chain.  Our students found the talk engaging and asked him questions about what had inspired him to set up his business and what was the worst challenge that he faced.
