It’s been a week of getting in to the Christmas spirit at St Chris with the School looking super festive as we head towards the end of term.

The climbing wall tree is up in the Senior School and the library Bookmas Tree has been lit! The Junior School was also looking Christmassy in time for the Junior School Fair last week – thank you to everyone who joined us for our outdoor event.

The season of giving has been embraced by everyone with the Junior School this week donating a large collection of items to the Letchworth Food Bank and also making a donation of an amazing collection of toys  to Lister Hospital’s Christmas Toy Bank. Thank you so much to everyone who brought items in.

The Senior School’s reverse advent calendar collection is in full swing with donations going to Feed Up Warm Up, who work with homeless individuals in Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth and Baldock, following a Morning Talk presentation by the charity and also the Letchworth Food Bank. We’re continuing collecting tinned items and Christmas themed food up until Monday 13 December so please do continue to send in any donations to the Senior School – thank you!

To end the week, today’s Morning Talk in the Senior School was an outdoor festive singalong with all year groups taking part in the courtyard in their year group baubles bubbles and this lunchtime the library held their annual Christmas in Words event – a Christmas celebration of poetry and prose with festive refreshments.
