This morning saw the hustings for this year’s Head Boy and Head Girl who lead our team of Major Officials and the School Council.
In a change this year, we’ve separated the Head Boy and Head Girl elections from the other Major Official positions, so that those who are unsuccessful in the first elections can stand for other positions.
Kitty, Izzy and Soonu are standing for Head Girl, and Oli, James and Theo for Head Boy.
Well done to all the candidates, who spoke about the topics that would be important to them if elected. Topics ranged from mental health, and embedding positive practices in school, to increasing opportunities for the St Chris community to work across year groups – both areas in response to the impact that COVID has had on school communities.
As with last year, the hustings were run remotely with pupils voting online this week. Despite COVID restrictions, it’s good to see that democracy is alive and well at St Chris!
