This week, from 1 – 7 March, is the 77th annual Welwyn Garden City Youth Drama Festival. Last year, our lower school team won the First Place trophy – The Elizabeth Cory-Wright Cup – with a performance of Romeo and Juliet: the Musical; a one act comedy by pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9.

This year, our Year 13 Drama pupils have made a film of a play called Chatroom by Enda Walsh, which is being screened as part of the festival, and is taking place virtually this year.
The St Chris performance is on Wednesday 3 March and you can book tickets for the livestream for free on the website.
It would be great to have some St Chris viewer support!  The play deals with some fairly adult issues including depression, online bullying and self-harm and it contains swearing – definitely not suitable for younger viewers – so we would suggest it’s suitable for Year 9 (III Group) and above.
