A North African dish that versions of have been in Mediterranean cuisine for thousands of years. Basically it’s eggs poached in a delicious tomato sauce. Lovely served with these soft and fluffy flatbreads.
Ingredients:
For the Shakshuka:
* These flavourings are optional and you can add whatever you like. Nigella seeds, fennel seeds, Ground coriander, garam masala, nutmeg, etc – Make it your own!
For the flatbread:
Here again feel free to add flavourings to the flour before mixing. I particularly like Nigella seeds and ground fenugreek…..
