Happy Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival! 中秋快乐!
This week we celebrated the Chinese festival known as the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Pupils throughout the School have been making red lanterns both during break and in the boarding houses, and have decorated the School with them. Boarders also had Chinese mooncakes, made from pastry, red bean or lotus seed paste with salted duck egg yolk in the centre.
The festival is about lunar appreciation and moon watching so during Monday’s Astronomy Club pupils drank green tea while star/moon-gazing.
