The voices and opinions of our boarders are very important to us.
As well as talking to the Houseparents or boarding team to give your views, we have various opportunities for boarder to give ideas and opinions.
We gather the views of boarders through House Meetings, regular surveys and focus group meetings. Boarders are also represented on the St Chris School Council by Senior Boarding and Junior Boarding Representatives. The Houseparents meet regularly with the Head to feedback information from the Boarding House and there is also a member of the Governing Board who is responsible for boarding, who regularly visits the Boarding House and speaks with students.
Topics for discussion, feedback and action this year have included:
Boarders requested that Prep time be brought forward by 15 minutes to start at 6.15pm.
Following a discussion about food, we added bagels and different types of bread into the food order for students to make snacks.
The school provided a second games console for older students and a plug in games controller to prevent overreliance on batteries.
