Teaching

We provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the world.

Teaching a science class

We aim to provide a nurturing, collaborative learning environment for our Sixth Formers.

St Chris class sizes are kept small, enabling individual attention to be given to every student and there are many opportunities for students to seek personal assistance outside lessons. Guidance is also given on the skills needed to succeed beyond school.

Young people entering higher education and the world of work today need impressive results. They also need to be independent, resourceful thinkers with an ability to communicate, to think strategically and creatively.

Our lessons are exciting and challenge students think for themselves and ask questions.Through our innovative teaching methods and tutorial support system we help them develop the capacity to be both self-disciplined and self-motivated.

We provide an extension group for those preparing for entry into Oxford and Cambridge and Russell Group universities. An Extended Project Qualification is also offered to all Sixth Formers, providing an excellent opportunity to develop the skills most highly regarded by university admissions tutors and modern employers.
