On Wednesday 3 May our current Year 6 students (D Group) were invited up to the Senior School for two periods before and after lunch with the view to making friends with the current Year 7 group through activities and over lunch together.
The first hour was spent outside with two team building activities; stompers and guttering runs outside the social library on the quadrant lawns. All the students threw themselves into these tasks with great enthusiasm and very quickly the coordination within the groups was excellent, each encouraging the other!
Early lunch then drinks and biscuits were greatly appreciated.
The afternoon session was a quick fire turnaround of six different puzzle activities.
The students were fantastic for both sessions and new friends were made.
We are looking forward now to our joint theatre trip in three weeks time.
