DSC_0018On Thursday 17 November three local students took part in a Photography Masterclass as part of their prize for winning the first St Christopher School Photography Awards.

David Saxby (Winner – Junior Category), Isaac Ray (Winner – Senior Category) and Caitlin Warren (Winner – Sixth Form Category) spent a day with professional photographer Alexander Walker learning about how to shoot in different formats and conditions.

The competition was open to local schools and there were over 150 entries in three categories with the winners coming from Breachwood Green School and St Christopher School.

The theme for the competition was Relationships and the judges were very impressed with the standard, creativity and the stories behind the winning photos which will form part of an exhibition in the Summer, showcasing as many of the entries as possible.

The St Christopher School Photography Awards are sponsored by Arun Misra, a former pupil of the School.
