Emma-Kate Henry

Emma-Kate is Principal of d'Overbroeck's, Oxford

Prior to attaining a Post Graduate Certificate at the Institute of Education in London, Emma-Kate read English Literature and African & Caribbean Studies at the University of Kent. Emma-Kate’s previous roles in education included inner city comprehensives in London, a selective single-sex independent school, a City Technology College and a co-educational 3-18 independent family school in London.

Emma-Kate was Deputy Head at St Christopher School from 2009-2013, before leaving to become Principal of Hampshire Collegiate School. She joined D'Overbroeck's, Oxford in April 2017 where she will assume the role of Principal in September 2017. Emma-Kate currently serves on the main committee and the Professional Development Committee of the Society of Heads.

During their five years at St Chris, Emma-Kate and her husband Tony lived on site including residing at Arunwood. Tony coached athletics and worked with the PE department at the School. Their son attended St Chris Junior School.
