This term the 3D Design Department have been running a pizza oven building Option every Thursday afternoon with a group of students in IV Group (Year 10).

The base and dome were cast by students in concrete (with the help of Gavin and James in the department… and an exercise ball!). Harry from IV Group made a pizza paddle by upcycling an old brush handle from the swimming pool and some scrap aluminium.

Gavin and James supervised the inaugural lighting (using waste wood from the department), and got to enjoy a range of burnt offerings! A big thank you to Harry who prepared lots of pizza dough at home – which was a good job, as the smell of fresh pizza quickly drew in children from far and wide.

In fact we had all manner of St Chris visitors, as shown in the short video clip!
