Good luck to the 80 Senior School students who are taking part in our Everest Challenge this afternoon to raise money for the NSPCC’s Childhood Day.

‘Base Camp’ is the School field, and students will be walking to the equivalent of the top of Mount Everest (8,848 m / 29,029 ft) by climbing the stairs in the languages and geography block this afternoon and tomorrow, camping at Base Camp overnight!

Students are working in teams to reach the goal of reaching the top of the world, ticking off smaller challenges as they ascend.

Mass production of pizzas in the Vege Centre is underway to provide sustenance for the trekkers and the tents are going up in period 5!
