Congratulations to the following students on their achievements this week…

The Art Department is really proud that Scarlett Somerville (Year 11/V Group) has had her etching selected to go on physical display at the The Royal Academy of Arts this year as part of the Young Artists’ Summer Exhibition. Her work was selected out of over 21,000 submissions and so she has done amazingly well. The show takes place from 19 July – 14 August. (We’ll be able to share her piece with you once the exam moderation period is over!)

Congratulations also go to Amy Bloomfield (Year 13/Upper Sixth) who has auditioned and been accepted into the National Youth Theatre and will attend a course of the summer.

Our horse riding students have had lots of success at recent British Eventing competitions – Masa Yonemaru (Year 10/IV Group) got a double clear round at his first BE 100 event, and placed 7th at Aston. Kitty Marlow (Year 12/Lower Sixth) has progressed up to Novice Level and completed her first competition and Katie Adams (Year 11/V Group) has also stepped up to BE 105 level (this relates to the height of the fences for those that don’t know…) All three are working towards qualifying for National competitions over the coming months.

Congratulations to you all!
