This week the Be Her Lead group participated in an online event celebrating the work of author Francesca Cavallo. Francesca, co-creator of the Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls series, among others, spoke live over Zoom with BHL groups from around the country on Thursday afternoon, discussing the need for diverse and accurate representation of all people in children’s literature and media on the whole. Our girls found Francesca an inspirational speaker and took a lot from the experience.
