Year 7 took part in the St Chris ‘Bake Off’ yesterday with the challenge of making the best shortbread!
All the students worked brilliantly during Bake Off and we were really impressed with their mature attitudes.
  • Eleanor’s Company: Ben, Amelia, Jenny and George baked passion fruit shortbread with a white chocolate ganache and a mango and raspberry coulis accompaniment
  • Helen’s Company: Alanna, Zaafirah and Ariola baked a classic chocolate drizzled shortbread
  • Angeles’s Company – Ladina, Noah, Lydia and Lucas baked some shortbread that was designed as mini planet Earth’s to highlight the fight against climate change!

We enjoyed watching them all work together and, as always, standards were extremely high and a huge well done to all the competitors.   The winners were Eleanor’s Company!

Year 10 also baked last night but due to prior commitments there was just one Company that was able to take part so well done to Rebecca’s Company for baking an absolutely delicious garlic and chilli focaccia bread.
The Bake-Off Grand Final will take place after half term with all the year groups competing.
