This week saw the first week of the Goat Husbandry Option for I Group (Year 7) in the Senior School (or Goat Force as it’s also known!)
Students and staff learnt from Grounds Manager James about how to look after the St Chris goats. The I Group took the goats for a walk on leads around the paddock, they checked their nails and teeth, and did some herd and penning training before feeding them and checking their hay and water.
Gavin and his Options team also came to measure the goats as they are building some play activities for them in the 3D Design Workshop!
St Chris has a proud tradition of looking after animals on site so it’s great to see the goats kicking this off again at school…watch this space for new additions to the team!
