As part of World Mental Health Day (10 October), on Monday this week the Junior School took part in workshops with Herts Mind Network, a division of the national charity, Mind.  The workshops focussed around the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing‘ initiative as everyday best practice for Children and Young People.  The Five Ways to Wellbeing is based on research conducted by the New Economics Foundation and includes:

  1. Learn
  2. Notice
  3. Connect
  4. Be Active; and
  5. Give

Activities included taking notice of your body and surroundings, teaching the children breathing techniques, learning new skills and the importance of being active.
