We’d like to formerly introduce three new members of the St Chris community!
Santa, Caesar and Trembler – are three female pygmy goats who are presently living in Arunwood.
There is a healthy amount of research on how animals and animal husbandry have positive effects on pupils and schools in numerous areas, from pastoral to SEN.
The plan is to develop our stock of animals (something St Chris has a proud history of) and help embed aspects into both the curriculum, our co-curricular opportunities and eventually as part of our outreach work with the local community.
A new goat husbandry club will be starting in the Senior School soon, and there will be chance for pupils across the school to come and meet them in the coming weeks.
Hopefully they’ll have some new friends joining them before Christmas!
