Last week saw the long-awaited final to the Senior School St Chris Annual ‘Bake Off’.  The teams had to bake a cake and decorate it in the theme of ‘Love and Peace’.  The students interpretations of this theme were wonderful to see and the standard of baking incredibly high.  The finalists were:

  • Year 11 (V Group) – Bella, Rosie and Alfie (Becky’s Company) with a decorated strawberry and cream peace Victoria sponge cake
  • Year 10 (IV Group) – Mimi, Eddie, George and Samara (Sarah’s Company) with a red velvet turtle love cake
  • Year 9 (III Group) – Billie, Daisy and Zac (Emma’s Company) with a hippy peace cake
  • Year 8 (II Group) – Louis, Ruth and Seb (Sue’s Company) with a tie dye effect rose water peace cake

All the cakes tasted fantastic and the judges deliberated and cogitated and eventually decided that the winners were Year 10 with their Turtle Love Cake.  They will be presented with the St Chris Bake Off Trophy (kindly made by Bella in Year 11) later this term.

Well done to everyone involved in the Bake Off this year and many thanks to all those that helped to make it run smoothly, especially the judges who had a very tough job!
