For pupils studying chemistry in Year 9 to Year 11 (III to V Group), term has gotten off to an interesting start!

Our Year 9 (III Group) pupils have started their GCSE course and are learning about different separation techniques used in chemistry.

Year 10 (IV Group) students in chemistry are busy reviewing and revising chemical bonding, and have grown some lovely metallic crystals.

Year 11 students have been investigating rates of reaction and the effect of temperature, surface area and concentration. They particularly liked the elephants toothpaste experiment!
