On Wednesday 21 November St Chris Head Chef, Mohammed Essakhi, and Head, Richard Palmer, are planning, preparing and cooking a vegetarian Moroccan meal for a pop up supper club in Letchworth, hosted by the Best Before Cafe.
The event takes place at the Garden City Brewery and is run on a Pay As You Feel basis, with customers asked to pay what they feel the meal is worth or what they can afford.
Richard and Mohammed are cooking three courses of Moroccan food, and the meal will be accompanied by live music by Rich Keam,
All donations from the night will go to the the Best Before Cafe. The Cafe was set up in 2018 with the intention of solving two problems: food waste and food poverty. The organisers use surplus supermarket food to create delicious meals and offer them to the local community on a Pay As You Feel basis, meaning that everyone – regardless of social or financial circumstances – can eat in an inclusive and fair way.
