We are marking Anti-Bullying Week (13 to 17 November) with a number of events and activities including focused Morning Talks and class activities for both Junior and Senior School Students, and the launch of our Diversity sessions, starting with Year 11 who will spend a day discussing LGBTQ issues and Gender Identity.

Action Work Workshops

On Tuesday 14 November visiting workshop company – Action Work – are spending the day with students from Reception to Year 11, running workshops on friendship and bullying. The company is very experienced at ensuring that the workshops are age appropriate and younger students will focus on the idea of friendship and being a good friend with the older students looking into the more serious ramifications of bullying including cyber bullying.

Action Work are also delivering a free anti-bullying workshop after School on Tuesday 14 November from 4 to 5 pm for Sixth Form students, staff and parents. Please click here to book your ticket.

Odd Socks Week

In addition, during Anti-Bullying Week we are asking all students to wear odd socks throughout the week to encourage young people to feel free to be themselves without fear of bullying. Odd Socks Week is an opportunity for our students (and staff!) to express themselves and appreciate individuality. There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or for parents to buy expensive costumes, just wear odd socks to school!

We would like to invite participating students to make a £1 donation to support the Anti-Bullying Alliance in all of their good work.
