Welcome to St Chris

What every parent wants is for their children to do well in life. And that means finding a school that will set them up for their future.

What do they need for that?

Good grades, of course, and as strong an academic attainment as possible. But they need something arguably more important too.
They need a core confidence in themselves as young people, a sense of their own worth and responsibility.

So come and visit St Chris and find out what your children
are capable of.

Virtual Open Day

Yesterday marked the start of the Summer Term for staff members; staff from across the whole School came back to work yesterday to take part in our INSET day.The focus of this INSET day was our long-term strategy. Over the past few months, the Senior Leadership Team have been working with David Boddy developing our whole school strategy to sustain St Chris' growth and progression into the future.Throughout workshop sessions, mixed groups of colleagues from teaching and professional services discussed and debated a number of key questions aligned with the strategy's objectives, including:"What does individualised learning look like in practice?""What do we do that is brilliant, and what can we improve?""How do we develop our founding principle of "education as service?"๐Ÿ—จ The groups then nominated a reporter from each group to deliver a summary of their discussions to the whole staff community. Staff members across different areas gave insightful feedback on the questions contributing to the development of our strategy. Staff remarked that it was an engaging session and valued the opportunity to share and discuss ideas with peers that they may not have necessarily worked with before. After several presentations from Richard Jones, Head, on the future of St Chris, Lizzie Hedderson, Assistant Head (Pupil Development and Wellbeing), on Microaggressions using research from the University of Bristol and the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, and Emma Roskilly, Assistant Head (Co-Curricular), on the St Chris calendar and upcoming co-curricular activities, staff members enjoyed a variety of wellbeing activities. These included:๐Ÿ‘— A stitching workshop for clothes repair๐ŸŽจ Mindful colouring๐Ÿ“ Table tennis (some very competitive games were played!)๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ Cooking chilli paneer๐Ÿก Lego creations๐Ÿธ Badmintonโ˜€ A local walk in the sunshineA huge thank you to Zoe Weaver (Director of People) and Helen Quinn (People Coordinator) for organising these highly popular activities.
