Meher joined the Governors in September 2006. She has a strong commitment to St Christopher School,
where both her children studied from Monte to A-Level. Her commitment to the principles and
philosophy of the School go back much further, having grown up in a household where AS Neil
was greatly admired and children were brought up in freedom, within safe boundaries.
Meher is a recently retired paediatrician, with a special interest in paediatric neurology and
child development. She was Designated Doctor for Safeguarding Children, in which role she helped
to improve multi-agency relationships and team working. She enjoyed learning practical paediatrics
with her own children and thinks all paediatricians should have the opportunity to look after
children in real life!
